Take advantage and get as much as possible from your visit to St Petersburg. You never know when you will return! Don’t leave overboard St Petersburg brilliance!
You start exploring St Petersburg right after you pass the passport control and meet your guide in the port terminal. We will take you on a spectacular city tour, where you hear the general history of St Petersburg and see the beautiful cityscapes with a chance to stop and take photos. Then you catch the speed boat which brings you to Peterhoff – one of the most luxurious Imperial summer residences, known as the “Russian Versailles”. You will stroll around the park and admire the innumerous and delicate fountains among the green trees and colorful flowers. You will have an authentic Russian lunch in the restaurant right in the park, and then you drive to another world-known residence. It is the fascinating Catherine’s Palace with its wonder of the Amber room, reconstructed after the WWII. After you walk through the interiors of the palace, you drive back to the downtown to visit the most important and impressive cathedrals of the city: Savior on Spilled Blood and St Isaac’s. After such a busy day you may go back to the ship to relax, or take one of our evening options: a ballet performance, a folk show or a dinner in town.
You start bright and early with a leisurely boat ride around innumerous rivers and canals of St Petersburg, which gives you a very unusual view of the city. Then you visit the most important museum in Russia – the Hermitage, which consists of several buildings and contains a great collection of world masterpieces. You will see the most important of them, and then have a traditional Russian lunch at one of the best St Petersburg restaurants. Refreshed, you proceed to the Yusupov Palace, one of two surviving St. Petersburg residences of the monumentally wealthy Yusupov family. The Palace is most famous as the scene of the assassination of Grigory Rasputin, and is one of the few aristocratic homes in the city to have retained many of its original interiors. After the museum, you might make a stop to buy some gifts and local crafts, and then we take you back to the ship.
