Besides, if you are traveling with a cruise ship, sometimes the only chance for you to visit Moscow is a Thursday, when the Kremlin is closed. However, the trip can still be full of impressions and show you a lot of wonders off the beaten track.

Early in the morning we pick you up at your ship and take you to the train station. Here you board the modern speed train Sapsan, which flies you to Moscow comfortably in just 4 hours. When you arrive, you meet your guide right on the platform, and here begins the adventure. The guide will take you right to the city center, and you walk along the Red Square – the most famous place in Russia, which is always seen on TV and postcards. You will see the colorful building of the world-knows St Basil’s Cathedral, the ornate building if GUM Department Store and the minimalistic Lenin’s Mausoleum. You will also see the red-brick Kremlin walls and their beautiful towers with stars and double-headed eagles. Then you take a tour around the historic center of the city and look at ancient churches, homes of the former aristocracy and delicate monasteries. You will definitely see the huge construction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior – the main Orthodox church in Russia. After the open-air tour you go underground and take a ride on Moscow metro. You will be totally astonished by the opulence of its stations that really look more like palaces than a transportation system. After this impressive ride you have a chance for a lunch or a snack, and then head to Tretyakov Gallery – the most famous collection of Russian painting. Here you will learn a lot about the Russian art and history, as your guide will accompany you and show you the most interesting objects. Then we will take you back to the train station, where you catch the Sapsan to St Petersburg.
